Where are your memories?

In a shoebox? In a yellowed magnetic album? On your computer?

Let me help you recapture those precious moments in your life — one page or one album at a time. Using archival-quality, photo-safe materials, I’ll turn your photos, memorabilia and memories into a wonderful layout or album.

IMG_6280Saturday, January 31st is “Inspire Your Heart with Art Day”. This is a day to celebrate the art around us and how it makes us feel. Maybe you could go to a local art museum. Or, you could stay home and create your own art gallery; have your children paint pictures or make sculptures out of modeling clay. Don’t forget to capture your thoughts and feelings about the day. What piece of art spoke to you, made you feel something? Find postcards in the museum shop of the pieces that really touched your heart. Take pictures of your kids and their creations. Make a layout about this day. Or, if you have lots of pictures and art pieces (like your children’s art gallery), make a mini album to celebrate, and don’t forget to include their feelings and interpretations of the art.

Have fun, enjoy and open your eyes to the art around you. I’ll share with you next week what my daughter, Molly, and I decided to do.

Welcome to Notes from the Shoebox. I’m Tracy, owner of Shoebox Moments. I’m a SAHM to a beautiful 4-year-old girl. I used to work in the corporate world until my husband’s job transferred us from Ohio to North Carolina. I’ve enjoyed scrapbooking for many years and tend to make more albums for family and friends than I do for myself.

I will be sharing with you my scrapbooking business and ideas on organizing and journaling your memories, and will show you a few of my projects. The website is a work in progress; I hope to get most of it up and running over the next few weeks.
