Today is Sesame Street’s 40th birthday. Loved it when I was little and still love to watch it with my 5-year-old.

Here is my latest flip album, Cute as a Bug. I made it for a raffle for a local moms’ group, TriadMommies.com.
This was so much fun to make. It can hold 8 4×4 photos and has plenty of journaling spots. Summer photos, children playing, even pets would all look really cute in this album.

I just finished an album for a client, my sister-in-law. It’s a summary of their life: childhood, family, activities, how they met, their engagement, their wedding and I even included a mother/daughter and father/son page. It was a lot of fun to make.

Saturday, January 31st is “Inspire Your Heart with Art Day”. This is a day to celebrate the art around us and how it makes us feel. Maybe you could go to a local art museum. Or, you could stay home and create your own art gallery; have your children paint pictures or make sculptures out of modeling clay. Don’t forget to capture your thoughts and feelings about the day. What piece of art spoke to you, made you feel something? Find postcards in the museum shop of the pieces that really touched your heart. Take pictures of your kids and their creations. Make a layout about this day. Or, if you have lots of pictures and art pieces (like your children’s art gallery), make a mini album to celebrate, and don’t forget to include their feelings and interpretations of the art.
Have fun, enjoy and open your eyes to the art around you. I’ll share with you next week what my daughter, Molly, and I decided to do.
